hi, i’m nacho.

Born Jenn, I earned my nickname the hard way—by eating and loving nachos since the discerning age of 7.

I’m an illustrator, author, designer, and pie-in-the-face enthusiast who’s spent over 20 years in design and illustration. Do I actually have sparkly star freckles? I wish. Is my flower crown made from tiny, benevolent creatures? Of course. (Yours isn’t?!)

Obsessed with children’s books and cartoons, I know life is better when we all stay six. My stories and art focus on the magic in the ordinary, the beauty and authenticity in being goofy, and the urgent matter of making the world a more joyful and peaceful place.

Raised in Wyoming, I’ve lived all over the US, from Boston MA to Portland OR. I now live in Montana with my husband, two kids, a cheeky tuxedo cat, and an Aussie who’s smarter than we are.
